A great tip for really making the colors of your flowers pop and your veggies produce is Epson salts. Now many people know this makes a great soak in the bathtub for aches and pains and will make you feel better in general, most don’t realize plants love it too. Epson salts are magnesium sulfate, and magnesium is something all living things need.

Now a couple of ways to use this is lightly sprinkling it in the dirt in its solid salt form but you don’t need a whole lot just a little, just think of it as a powerful seasoning for your plants and you want just a taste. A very light dusting can make your grass emerald green…but remember be light with the salt.

The easiest way though is to mix a tablespoon in a gallon of water then either water with it or mist your plants, my grandmother who has the most beautiful flowers I know of mixes it with Miracle Grow in equal parts in water then doses all of her outside plants every two weeks. I personally use it on my tomatoes and other garden veggies. So give it try and watch your plants really pop with color!
