The Beginning of the Pond

Nothing like the way a new dug pond looks and the excitement of the first rain. This is how my pond looked back in 2000 right after being dug and the first rain. It has not been dry since and we finished digging it in the rain.
The joy of the pond beginning to fill is hard to match and the plans of getting fish to stock it with are close to reality. Here is another look at the newly dug pond
